Unscrew It! – a 3D Screw Puzzle with a Pet Inside

Unscrew It! is a calm 3D screw puzzle about taking cute gadgets apart. A toaster, a radio, a robot, a retro TV and eight more toys sit on a turntable, held together by colourful screws. Tap a screw and it spins out and flies into the box of the same colour. Every box holds three screws. When it is full the lid snaps shut and a new box drops in. No matching box yet? The screw waits in a small tray with five holes and jumps into its box by itself as soon as that colour comes up. Fill the tray and you are stuck, so plan ahead: the strip under the boxes shows which colours come next. Plates are stacked on top of each other, and a screw under a plate cannot come out until that plate falls off. Spin the gadget with a swipe or the arrow buttons to reach screws on the sides, the back and the top. Inside every gadget a pet is hiding. Take off the last plate and it jumps out and dances while the gadget plays its own little tune, one note per screw. Collect 18 cats and dogs on your shelf and find them again in gold on the harder levels. Sort six screws straight into boxes to charge a Paw: the pet pushes out any screw you choose, even a covered one. 36 levels, no timers, free to play in your browser.

How to play Unscrew It!

  1. Tap a screw to unscrew it. It flies into the box of the same colour.
  2. A screw with no matching box waits in the tray. Five spots only, so do not fill it up.
  3. Look at the NEXT strip to see which colour boxes come next.
  4. A screw under a plate is stuck until that plate falls. Take the plates off from the top down.
  5. Swipe or use the arrow buttons to turn the gadget and reach every side.
  6. Six screws straight into boxes charge a Paw. Tap the Paw, then any screw, even a covered one.

Why can't I take this screw out?
Another plate is lying on top of it. The plate on top wiggles to show you. Take that plate off first, or use a Paw.
What happens when the tray is full?
You are stuck. You can try the level again, or once per level watch a short ad for two Paws and keep going.
How do I get a Paw?
Put six screws in a row straight into the colour boxes without using the tray. You can hold up to two Paws.
How do I get three stars?
Use the tray as little as you can. Watch the NEXT strip and unscrew the colours that are coming up.
How many pets can I find?
There are 18 cats and dogs. Levels 1 to 18 hide them for the first time, and levels 19 to 36 hide them again in gold.
