Masterpiece Flip: Paint It, Score It, Sell It

Masterpiece Flip is a free painting tycoon game for your phone or computer browser. A client walks in and asks for a famous-looking picture: a giant wave, a swirly starry night, a smiling lady, a screaming figure on a bridge, or one of our own pet portraits like a cat loaf or a capybara in a hot spring. You get 45 seconds and a faint stencil on the canvas. Pick a paint pot, drag your finger and fill every shape with the right colour. A big live counter shows how close you are, and every finished shape rings the next note of a little tune. When the time is up you see the original next to your version and get an honest accuracy score in percent, built from coverage, colours and details. Then the fun part: an auction. Cats, dogs and a very calm capybara raise their paddles, the auction music speeds up with every bid, and the bulldog auctioneer slams the gavel. A great copy sells for big money. A terrible one goes for pennies and hangs forever in the Hall of Shame, together with what the buyer said about it. Spend your earnings on bigger brushes, a paint bucket, fancy paint, clearer stencils, more time and a bigger gallery that brings new requests and richer collectors. There are 36 requests in six gallery wings, an Open Market with endless random requests, and a daily request that is the same for everyone.

How to play Masterpiece Flip

  1. Tap PAINT to take the next request from a collector.
  2. Pick a paint pot and drag your finger over the faint stencil to fill each shape with its colour.
  3. Use the small brush for eyes and lines, the big one for skies. Hold the little picture at the top to peek at the original.
  4. Finish before the 45 seconds run out, or tap DONE early for a speed tip.
  5. Watch the auction, then spend your money on brushes, a paint bucket, fancy paint and a bigger gallery.

Features

FAQ

Is Masterpiece Flip free?
Yes. It runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers, with nothing to download.
How is the accuracy score calculated?
The canvas is split into small cells. Every shape of the picture counts by how many of its cells you painted in the right colour, and small details such as eyes count a bit more than their size. Paint on the empty background lowers the score.
What is the Hall of Shame?
Paintings under 40% still sell, but only for pennies. They hang in the Hall of Shame with the price and what the buyer said about them.
How do I earn more money?
Paint more accurately, finish early for a speed tip, hang good works on your wall for fame, buy Fancy Paint and expand your gallery to meet richer collectors.
What are Rush, Faded, Memory and Decoys?
Harder requests: Rush gives less time, Faded makes the stencil paler, Memory hides the stencil after a few seconds and Decoys add look-alike paints.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Money, upgrades, your gallery and the Hall of Shame are saved in your browser.
