Skip Symphony is a stone skipping game where timing beats power. Skipper the frog throws a flat stone across the lake, and before every touch of the water a colored ring closes in on the spot where it will land. Tap when the stone hits the ring. Every touch plays the next note of a song, so the rhythm of the bounces is the rhythm of the tune: long notes make high, slow hops and short notes make quick little skips. Perfect taps keep the stone's speed, sloppy ones slow it down, and a missed tap means plop. Keep a combo going and the band joins in: first the bass, then chords, then sparkles. Finish the song and the encore starts, a little faster and a little higher. Every meter earns coins for a stronger arm, a flatter stone and lucky charms that save a missed tap. Reach the far shallows to meet the locals: ducklings and a koi in the Lily Pond, a pygmy hippo in the Spooky Swamp and a narwhal in the Frosty Lake, where the stone never sinks and slides on across the ice. There are 18 songs, from public domain classics like Ode to Joy and Twinkle Twinkle to our own themes, nine stones to collect and a Daily Lake with a mystery tune that is the same for everyone. Free to play in your browser on phone, tablet and PC.

FAQ

How do I skip the stone farther?
Tap exactly when the stone touches the ring. PERFECT taps keep its speed, so the hops stay long. Upgrades for your arm and your stone add even more distance.
Why does the stone sink?
It sinks when you miss a tap or when it gets too slow after too many early or late taps. Each Lucky Charm level saves one missed tap per throw, and on the Frosty Lake ice the stone slides on instead of sinking.
My taps feel late. What can I do?
Open Settings and run the sync test once. The game also adjusts itself a little after each throw when your taps are always early or late.
How do I unlock the other lakes?
Reach 110 meters in the Lily Pond to open the Spooky Swamp, and 160 meters in the swamp to open the Frosty Lake.
What is the Daily Lake?
One lake and one mystery tune a day, the same for everyone and with the same stone. Your first throw counts for your streak and you can share your result without spoiling the song.
Can I play without sound?
Yes. The rings show when to tap, and the note dots at the top show the melody and how well you played it.
