Cats vs Dogs: Board Night – Four Board Games for Two
Cats vs Dogs: Board Night is a free collection of four classic board games where every piece is a cat or a dog. Play Four in a Row, Checkers, Tic-Tac-Toe (the classic 3x3 board or a big 9x9 board where you need five in a row) and Hide-and-Seek Boxes, our own take on the guess-the-grid game: hide four pets in a 7x7 grid of boxes, then open the other side's boxes until you find all of them. Once per match you can Sniff to learn how many paws hide in a 3x3 area. Play against a bot on Easy, Medium or Hard, or play with a friend on one phone. In Hide-and-Seek a curtain closes between turns, so nobody can peek. The pieces have feelings: a jumped cat hisses and stalks off the board, the dachshund sulks under a rain cloud, and when someone wins, the losing pets panic and run away. Every win adds a point to the House Score, a tug of war that shows who really rules the house. Win treats to unlock more of the ten piece sets and six boards, from a picnic blanket to a space camp. Tonight's Match is a daily challenge with the same game, opponent and goal for everyone. Win it fast for three stars, keep your streak and share the result. It runs in your browser on phones, tablets and computers.
How to play Cats vs Dogs: Board Night
- Pick a game on the main screen, then choose vs Bot (Easy, Medium or Hard) or 2 Players on one phone.
- Four in a Row: touch above a column to aim your pet and let go to drop it. Line up four to win.
- Checkers: tap one of your pets, then tap a dot to move. Jumps are a must, and a pet that reaches the far side gets a crown.
- Tic-Tac-Toe: tap a square. On the 9x9 board tap once to preview and tap again to place; five in a row wins.
- Hide-and-Seek Boxes: drag your pets to hide them and tap one to turn it. Then open the other side's boxes one by one and find all four pets first.
- Use Sniff once per Hide-and-Seek match to count the paws in a 3x3 area. Win matches for treats and new pieces and boards.
